Thank you, Sis Boom!

Imagine my total surprise when I received an email saying that I’d won some fat quarters from Sis Boom, by Jennifer Paganelli. There are few things better than an unexpected package to make your day.  Talk about cute!  I’ve always loved her designs, but didn’t have any of these prints.  They will be fun to [...]

Tufted Tweets

A fun little package awaited me when we arrived home from vacation: I’ve been anxious for the release of Laurie Wisbrun’s Tufted Tweets collection, and it doesn’t disappoint.  I ordered some in the blue and green colorway, along with a few other pieces to coordinate.  I can’t believe how cute it is.  I’ve loved chairs [...]

Martinique Quilt

Last week I had the pleasure of teaching my sister how to put borders on a quilt top.  For the center of the quilt, she used a 1.5 yard piece of the already pieced patchwork squares from the Martinique collection. My Mom bought her the fabric as a birthday gift. She chose a pintuck fabric [...]

Rural Jardin by French General

A layer cake from French General’s second fabric collection arrived in the mail last week and I’ve been looking at it ever since. I must admit that I braced myself for disappointment because I loved Rouenneries so much.  The thought was unnecessary; I’m very impressed!  Here’s a peek at this beautiful new collection. A very [...]

Lumiere de Noel by French General

Last week in a LQS I noticed a little table holding fat quarters and charm packs that seemed familiar.  I looked closely and discovered that they’re from the Christmas collection of quilting fabric by French General for Moda, called Lumiere de Noel. Similar to their debut collection in color and style, this collection contains a [...]

Verna and Kate Spain

Earlier today I posted pictures of the quilt top I’m putting together.  It’s made with Kate Spain’s new collection for Moda, titled Verna. Well, about an hour later, Kate left a comment on the post, which was so kind of her, and although I have absolutely no idea how she found her way to my [...]

Wild Thing Quilt Top

My tidy little stack of fabric has been transformed into this: The pattern is Wild Thing by Thimble Blossoms, and the fabric I used is Verna by Kate Spain for Moda.  It’s still in need of borders, but I can’t remember the last time a quilt top made me smile like this one does. Let [...]

Marabella by Henry Glass Fabrics

There’s a cute little line of fabrics that I’m liking right now: The line is Marabella.  It’s designed by Amy Hamberlin of Kati Cupcake Designs, for Henry Glass Fabrics.  It also comes in a purple colorway.  You can see all of the swatches here. The purple colorway is very cute.  I’m just not drawn to [...]

Happiness is…

many things.  Mostly little things. Today it’s a little stack of freshly cut fabric. Really pretty fabric, I might add.  I’m so excited to turn it into a new quilt! I’m hoping for an early bedtime tonight… What brought you happiness today?

Addition to the stash

Two new pieces of fabric arrived in the mail. They’re from the Girl Friday line by Cosmo Cricket.  It’s fun to see so many scrapbook papers licensed for quilting fabric and this was a line I wasn’t familiar with until my awesome sister gave me a heads-up.  I think this fabric has been out for [...]
