Vintage Tablecloth: Hydrangea Bouquets

This tablecloth is another with a center field made up of aqua flowers.  Peppered throughout the center and around the edges are little bundles of pink hydrangeas.

Printed on linen, this cloth has a nice weight.  It measures 51 by 66 inches.

Yellow ribbons wind around the outer edge of the center field, and also twist their way around the edges of the cloth.  My photos don’t do justice to the beauty of this cloth; the yellow is a lovely sunny yellow, and the entire piece is actually very colorful.

There is a small amount of fading in a few places, but it’s hard to notice unless you’re looking for it.  The cheerfulness of this quilt makes it fun to use.

Vintage Tablecloth: Aqua Dream

Man, I wish I knew the names of these tablecloths!

I’m calling this one Aqua Dream because I happen to think the aqua designs on it are totally dreamy.  And there is a lot of aqua on this one!

If I could keep only one of my vintage tablecloths, I’m pretty sure this would be the one.  When I pull it out of the cabinet to use on my table I smile with delight.  It makes me happy, plain and simple.

I love the center design of just aqua and white, with a thin pink design between the inner field of flowers and the design around the edges.

And then there are the flowers.  The splash of brightly colored flowers that look like they’re painted in watercolors. Breathtaking.

It’s cotton, the perfect crisp-but-soft weight that all summer sheets should be.  To be honest, I’ve wished it was a sheet once or twice, because if it was, it would be on my bed.  All summer long.

This tablecloth has no tags or manufacturer’s markings on it.   It measures 55 by 75 inches, a fairly large cloth.  It has no stains or marks on it, and is in fabulous condition.

Like I said, it’s my favorite.

Roast Beef Wraps

These wraps are versatile.  I serve them for lunch, after school snacks, and also for dinner.  They’re simple and inexpensive and my children like them.  They’re especially handy on those nights when we’re on the go. I can wrap them up and take them with us for a homemade meal on the run.

Roast Beef Wraps Ingredients:
flour tortillas ranch dressing salsa sliced roast beef shredded mozzarella cheese sliced olives Spread 1 tsp. ranch dressing over a flour tortilla.  Spread 2 Tb. salsa over the ranch.  Sprinkle 3-4 Tb. mozzarella cheese over each tortilla, then sprinkle with sliced olives.  Place 2-3 slices of roast beef on top.  Roll up and place seam side down in a 9×13 inch pan.  Heat at 300 for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

For a meal on the go, simply wrap each tortilla in foil after assembling.  Warm in the oven and take them with you.  I love having things like this planned for crazy nights.  We eat better and save so much money when we don’t “grab something” from a drive thru.
