Vintage Tablecloth: Green lattice with pink blossoms

This is one of the tablecloths that I love and use regularly.

Measuring 48 by 53 inches, it is printed on a cotton/polyester blend, which probably accounts for the incredibly vivid color after years of storage.  It had some yellowing when I purchased it, but it soaked out beautifully.

This tablecloth looks fabulous on my kitchen table, especially with pink tulips.  I love to get it out.  It also came with four napkins, each with a green border.

So striking, it always attracts attention!

Vintage Tablecloth: Pink Flower Ovals

Today’s tablecloth is another that reminds me of vintage ticking, only without the stripes.

The oval medallions remind me a lot of those that are so often scattered in vintage ticking patterns.  The flowers on this cloth are really more of a mauve.

From a distance, I like the way the ovals lay around the edges of the tablecloth, larger in the middle of each side and on an angle in the corners.

Around the outside of the oval medallions there is a sweet little scalloped border with small roses.  It’s the perfect vintage touch for a little girls’ tea party or birthday party.

This cloth is cotton duck and has a lovely weight.  I noticed no flaws or stains.  It measures 47 by 53 inches.

So sweet and innocent.

Vintage Tablecloth: Roses and Loops

Another tablecloth with roses and a black pattern going around the entire piece.  The black has faded to a lovely charcoal gray.   I like how the inside pattern consists of circles overlaying one another, while the smaller outside one is made of loops that travel around the edges.  (I also like the two cute helpers who insisted on being in the picture!)

This cloth is printed on cotton and a couple of light yellow stains on it.  It has a nice heavy drape to it.  It measures 43 by 50 inches.

I enjoy the mix of pattern on this tablecloth.  The roses combine with the geometric print to make a statement that is neither too bold nor too flowery.  I think it’s a great combination.  Very pretty!
